We went camping last weekend. It was pretty sweet. The campground had their big Halloween celebration and my FIL (Father In Law) went crazy (as usual) with the decorations.

I added more song videos to my band page. Looks like a few people have been watching some of the others so I figured I'd add a couple more. They are not very good, partly because all I have to edit the vids with is Windows Movie Maker. Currently I have no idea whatsoever what anyone thinks of them (I suspect some people are watching them for a laugh) so maybe let me know. Be honest though. I need somebody to say "Dude! Quit torturing us with these horrible crimes against humanity! I might jab my eyes out if I have to see another of your absurd home videos!" Then I will stop putting them on here and the world will be at peace. Until then though, I might just keep doing this.........
I got called in to work today. I was asked to work in the circulation department at the library I am employed at. I normally work in the reference department helping people with computers but today I am working with books. It is always interesting working over here. I have already been put on the hunt for books by several patrons. First, an attractive young blond asked for books on Raphael. I tried to get my single buddy to handle this request but no such luck. Oh, well. I try. Next, a young African-American man came over and delighted me by asking about Dante. He was very interested in reading "The Divine Comedy" and not for a class, but just for fun. Naturally I was thrilled and we talked about the story for a while. I don't meet many people who are interested in such things. Pretty neat. Maybe I should work in circ more often. Seems like more opportunities for interesting discussions. A nice break from "I forgot my Yahoo password" or "I can't get Farmville to work" which is more typical of my department.
My youngest sister's birthday was yesterday. We had another exciting party back at home in honor of the occasion. There were lots of guests and high spirits all around. Not to mention fabulous feasting. My siblings sure are growing up fast. My oldest sister (next in line after me) just got her first apartment and moved in on Monday. Her and a friend are sharing the place and they are both very excited. So much change going on. Ah, well. Such is the adult life.
I totally love my wife's new blog. She has been documenting the ridiculous antics of our family felines. Pretty hilarious stuff. She has also done an excellent job of photographing the furballs. Overall a great blog. Mom's blog is also really good. Plenty of wacky tales from back home and lots of really good pictures. I encourage anyone to read them both. Ash also has a poll on her blog that should yield amusing results. This little blogging community has quickly become one of my favorite parts of my daily internet time.
I spent a few hours making another video. Not a new song but I included all the other instruments. You can see it on the "My Creations" page. Let me know what you think. I can't wait until I someday have some quality video editing software.

I also started school today. Whoopee. Everything is totally the same although, George is here now. That's pretty sweet. What is NOT sweet is JCC "upgraded" all their computers and they no longer have Adobe Premier Pro! I was totally going to have some fun editing my videos and become famous on Youtube but I guess I won't after all. Bummer.

Party at my house tonight. Last week before school starts for the fall. Looking forward to a continuing tradition in my collegiate career: every semester will always be worse than the last. This fall marks my first term in which I have zero classes I am excited about. 4 out of 4 this fall are dry, uninteresting requirements for my bachelor's degree. However, the bright side is that if I can survive these next 15 weeks and pass each of these boring classes I can move on to taking classes from Siena Heights University. Then I will be 30 credits away from my BBA and no longer a community college student.
Looks like a few friends are going to come over tonight. Maybe we'll play some games or watch something or just hang out. Always a treat to have people over.

Not sure where to go on our next vacation. Ash and I have been talking about it for quite a while. Might go to Canada, or visit relatives somewhere, or just go camping somewhere, I don't know. Tough call. It would be fun if someone wanted to go camping with us or go up to the cottage but everyone is too busy.
In the director's chair that is. Along with my close chum Jason, I have returned to film directing for a time. We are currently working on a brilliant piece of work with an all-star cast. This feature film is a wacky comedy with one particular new element that has not yet been seen in any of my many previous films: a point. Yes, there is an actual moral to the story this time. Jason and I spent a considerable amount of time together collaborating on the perfect plot and I think this one will be pretty classic. Yesterday's shooting was very productive, although I spent more time in front of the camera than behind it for the first time. The premier of this production is scheduled for early July.
My head hurts. I have been working diligently today on a new website design for my father in law's business. Been using Photoshop and Dreamweaver heavily. It is very slow going. I want very much to get good at this. It is very satisfying and allows for so much creativity. I guess I just need practice.
My wife is going to some girl party tonight. My sisters & company are having some sort of gathering which consists of yummy snacks, girl shows, and excessive giggling. I, in turn, extended an invitation to a number of my masculine chums for an evening of "real" fun. Who knows what we'll end up doing? I may not eat nearly as well as most nights with just Ash, but I'll get to catch up with my homies a bit.
I made lots of logos for my FIL's business and this was the one he chose as his favorite. I am using it as a theme for the site. Here is the link to the website. Currently though, almost none of my work is visible. I still have to finish the new design and upload everything to the server. Lots of work ahead. Now it is a little lame with just one of those basic templates. Be sure to check back later though when I finish the real thing.
The other day our dumb cat got out. I came home from work and was about to grab my guitar and go visit a friend when I saw a note from Ash stating that she couldn't find Roxy before she left for work. So I tore the house apart and looked around frantically outside for the retarded feline with no success. After half an hour, I found myself standing on my front lawn very frustrated and annoyed. I was about to call Evan and say I couldn't make it today and then start knocking on neighbor's doors when I spotted one of our nearby neighbors outside. After I introduced myself to him I described my predicament and asked if he had seen our cat. He scratched his head and said "Well, no I guess I haven't seen a cat like that today.....although" he now pointed "there's an orange one right there." Dumbfounded, I turned and spotted Roxanne pawing at the door of our next door neighbor's home.
So, to end this pointless tale, we managed to retain our entire herd of cats for now. Yippee.
